Cochran Family Farm
From Our Family To Yours
Cochran Family Farm is a small, family owned farm located on Grand Isle in Vermont's Lake Champlain. We currently sell meat and eggs as well as live animals.
We are a new farming family, 1st generation farmers. Eric is a city boy from Massachusetts and I (Aimee) am a 3rd generation Vermonter, but a suburban Vermonter. We moved to the Islands in 2007 with our 2-year-old son, Charlie, and Daniel was born soon after.
We started raising meat for our own use and for a few friends. It was important to us that we knew where our food was coming from, what it was being fed, and how it was being treated. What better way to know that than to raise the animals yourself? We quickly realized we enjoyed raising animals and decided to try our hands at starting a farm.
We are slowly expanding our breeding stock and adding new animals. We currently have pigs, sheep, chickens, and a family cow. We are hoping to start a small beef herd in the near future.
